TYPES OF FORKLIFTS AVAILABLE TO RENT

When you need to quickly move heavier pallets throughout a warehouse or in and out of trailers, regular push dollies and pallet jacks may not work. A similar challenge applies when you are moving heavy loads on a construction site. Renting a forklift provides your team the proper equipment to efficiently move, stack and retrieve products and materials for short distances in a storage facility, distribution center or at a job site. Following are a list of forklifts available for rent and common uses:

  • 4-Wheel Sit-Down Electric Forklifts – most common lift trucks for material handling inside warehouses and other facilities
  • 3-Wheel Electric Forklifts – forklifts with 3 wheels enable operators to move materials within narrow aisles and tight spaces more easily
  • Stand-up Electric Forklifts – designed to operate in narrower aisles than sit-down trucks; ideal for applications that require driver to get on and off the forklift frequently
  • Pallet Jacks & Walkie Stackers – typically used to transport pallets at ground level; manual and electric options available
  • Heavy-duty Forklifts designed to lift high-capacity loads up to 100,000 lbs. in heavy material handling applications often seen in pipe, steel, rail and port operations, lumber and manufacturing industries
  • Propane Gas (IC) Cushion Tire Forklifts – powered by LP gas or diesel, these common forklifts are often used to move pallets and materials on and off trailers
  • Rough Terrain Forklifts – often used to transport materials on rugged surfaces outdoors, these lift trucks feature gas engines and pneumatic tires
  • Narrow Aisle Reach Trucks – these trucks can reach extended heights and use forks to reach or put away pallets in higher locations
  • Turret Trucks – ideal for warehouses with very narrow aisles (VNA), these lift trucks allow operators to access pallets from a side position in aisles less than 6 feet wide
  • Order Pickers – these trucks lift operators on a platform so that they can grab, or pick, individual items to assemble an order

RENTING A LIFT TRUCK

COMMON REASONS TO RENT A FORKLIFT

We provide forklift rentals across a variety of industries including warehousing, distribution, construction, facility maintenance, mining, transportation, manufacturing, forestry and utilities. The reasons behind choosing to rent forklifts instead of buying them depend on your project, timeline of use, budget and other factors. Whatever the reason, you can count on our industry expertise to help determine which forklift is right for you. Some common reasons for renting a forklift include:

  • You need extra forklifts to support seasonal increases in demand
  • You have a small project that requires a forklift rental for a brief time
  • You have limited budget and the cost of purchasing a forklift is too high
  • You want to try before you buy and evaluate which forklift is right for your company’s needs
  • Your project involves multiple cities and it will be more cost-effective to rent from a local dealer rather than transport your own equipment

A FORKLIFT FOR EVERY APPLICATION

We offer a wide range of cushion-tire and pneumatic-tire forklift rentals to support a variety of uses. Narrow-aisle forklifts can be compact enough to fit in trailers, small warehouses and tight aisles. Larger, heavy-duty forklifts are often needed at construction sites, in lumberyards, and when moving containers and cargo in ports.

We will also help you determine the best forklift to rent with the appropriate engine type for your specific conditions. Electric engines powered by large, rechargeable batteries and internal combustion engines powered by propane gas are the most common engines. An electric forklift is an ideal solution for enclosed environments with poor ventilation and workplaces where food or products are moved in and out of cold storage. An internal combustion forklift is often the better choice when working outside, especially in rain or snow.
